FedEx Desktop Package Tracker Review

FedEx has a neat little desktop application called the FedEx Desktop package tracker application which allows you to track multiple tracking numbers (FedEx only of course).  I downloaded this app back in Oct 2008.  They recently upgraded their app and I used the new version for 2 months and decided it wasn't for me.  

The pros:

Status indicator icons are nifty

Easy to use

Automatic updates

The cons:

The app runs in your system start up tray which may slow down your system during start up

Limited to tracking FedEx only

Works on PC only

Avery Package Tracker in Beta

Wonder where you package is?  Well, Avery has a cool web app in Beta right now.  You can sign up for free.  Track your packages in real time for USPS, UPS, and FedEx.  If you ship several packages a week and need to know where your stuff is at then this is for you!  Check it out at averytracker.com
